Strategically located in the heart of Bandung, Indonesia – Gormeteria restaurant officially opened its door on 5 December 2016. The name Gormeteria is derived from a combination of the words “gorilla”, “gourmet”, and “cafeteria”. As a nod to the owner’s favorite animal, gorilla is used as the mascot of the restaurant.
The 425 square-meter restaurant aims to offer high-quality cuisine in a hip yet familial and welcoming setting. Inspired by London eateries and pubs, the owner wants to recreate a similar dining experience, infused with a local twist.
Steampunk themed restaurant and bar that brings you to a different fantasy world altogether. Inspired by the intricacies of machinery and transportation in the fictional steampunk world, the interior incorporates both classical/Victorian influences juxtaposed with the play of rustic machine parts as a feature.
Visiting Tijili feels like coming over to an artist’s home, unique and inspirational. The name Tijili symbolizes “Dewi Sri” or goddess of prosperity, which translates into Bali’s signature offerings for the Gods. From this concept, Domisilium Studio derives their concept for Tijili Hotel Lobby and Kakatua Tropic Lounge.
Vibrant colours and layers of geometric shapes show the ecletic personality of the space, which can be seen from the floor pattern, wall treatment and on the ceiling fixtures. The combination of textures and wood finish represents the locality of Bali and give modern details to the furnitures in the hotel lobby and Kakatua Tropic Lounge. Every corner in Tijili speak for the vibrant and lively characteristics of Bali, especially for the location of the hotel itself, Seminyak.
Cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the house are all activities that have a close connection to each family members. The main design concept of Modena Experience Center is to create an interesting home appliances shopping experience to each family member. Not only designed for the Mom, but also for the Dad and the kids.
We change the common layout of home appliances’ showroom that usually is only about the racks of products into a more familiar and intimate layout- a layout of a house. Thus, all products are displayed in a setting of room in a house. We combine woods and metals to create a homy and cozy ambience of a modern house that can relates to the image of Modena’s product.
Collaborating with Nike Indonesia, this event was the first Nike Training Club Tour held in Jakarta. With their campaign motto “Better For It”, NTC’s strong brand identity is applied through installation and stage setting to accommodate different classes that was held for the event.
Perched atop Kosenda Hotel, Awan Lounge is a rooftop oasis inspired by clouds and the outdoor lifestyle, offering a serene escape in the heart of Jakarta’s urban landscape. Surrounded by a lush herb garden that influences its food and drinks, the lounge embraces local ingredients to celebrate nature. It’s a place to unwind, enjoy a cold beer, and relax in a tranquil, green setting above the city.
In celebration of Chinese New Year, Elite Grahacipta collaborates with Domisilium Studio to transform their showroom in Kebayoran Baru for the Year of the Horse.
Collaborating with Eschol Gardening & Landscaping, Domisilium Studio sets the rooms and tables setting for Elite’s showroom. Using accent colours and patterns, the rooms represent modern glamour and masculinity. With De Gournay wall coverings and Baccarat chandeliers, the beauty of each products were highlighted in settings such as living room with a fireplace, dining room and bedroom.
Dekael, a wooden flooring company from Central Java, participated in the 2012 Domotex Show in Shanghai. Our studio designed a 3x4m booth to showcase their exquisite and exotic wooden floors, crafted primarily from Indonesian teak. The booth was built from a modular container, allowing it to be easily disassembled after the show. It was later shipped to South America and the USA for reuse, ensuring sustainability while maintaining its inviting ambiance for visitors to experience the beauty of artisan flooring.
